NapLab's Updated Review of the Nolah Evolution (2026)

When you're shopping for a new mattress, expert reviews and independent testing can help you look beyond product descriptions to understand how a bed actually performs. That's why we value detailed, data-driven evaluations from third-party reviewers like NapLab.

NapLab uses a standardized testing methodology to evaluate mattresses across important performance factors, including cooling, pressure relief, motion transfer, response time, and edge support. Its reviews combine objective measurements, hands-on assessments, and comparisons against hundreds of other mattresses. This consistent approach gives shoppers a useful benchmark for comparing different beds and finding the right fit for their sleep needs.

On October 9, 2026, NapLab updated its Nolah Evolution mattress review, awarding our premium hybrid an 9.19 out of 10 overall score. The Evolution earned perfect 10/10 scores for cooling and pressure relief, placing it among the top 22% of mattresses NapLab has tested.

We're excited to share the results and take a closer look at what NapLab's findings mean for mattress shoppers.

Perfect 10/10 Scores for Cooling and Pressure Relief

Two of the Evolution's biggest strengths in NapLab's review were its cooling performance and pressure relief, both of which received perfect scores.

Cooling Performance: 10/10

Hot sleepers know how much temperature can affect their comfort throughout the night. The Nolah Evolution is designed with cooling materials and a breathable hybrid construction to help create a more comfortable sleep environment.

NapLab awarded the Evolution a perfect 10/10 cooling score, noting its ability to maintain a cool feel during testing. The review highlighted the optional GlacioTex™ Cooling Pillow Top, which was included on the tested mattress, as an important contributor to its cooling performance.

NapLab also measured a maximum mattress surface temperature of 89.7°F, slightly below its testing average of 89.9°F. Combined with the reviewer's hands-on experience and evaluation of the mattress materials, these results supported NapLab's excellent cooling assessment.

Our Evolution combines breathable comfort foams with individually wrapped coils to encourage airflow, while the optional GlacioTex™ Pillow Top adds an extra layer of cool-to-the-touch comfort.

Pressure Relief: 10/10

Pressure relief is especially important for side sleepers and anyone who wants cushioning around sensitive areas like the shoulders and hips.

The Evolution also earned a perfect 10/10 pressure relief score. NapLab highlighted the mattress's substantial 6.25-inch comfort layer, which is approximately 2 inches thicker than the average comfort layer measured in its testing.

During its sinkage assessment, NapLab measured 2.56 inches of pressure-point sinkage, compared with its average of 2.21 inches. The reviewer described the mattress as having a balanced, body-hugging feel, with generous cushioning that didn't leave the tester feeling trapped in the foam.

These findings reflect what we designed the Evolution to deliver: a comfortable combination of pressure-relieving cushioning and supportive hybrid construction.

What Makes the Nolah Evolution Stand Out?

The Evolution's performance results highlight several qualities that make it worth considering for shoppers who want a premium hybrid mattress.

Our Nolah Evolution combines pressure-relieving comfort foams with a supportive coil system, creating a balance of cushioning, responsiveness, and targeted support. It's available in three firmness options—Plush, Luxury Firm, and Firm—so shoppers can choose the feel that best matches their sleep position and comfort preferences.

NapLab's review particularly emphasizes the Evolution's cooling performance, generous comfort layers, and balanced body contouring. These characteristics make it an appealing option for side sleepers, hot sleepers, and anyone who prefers a more cushioned mattress feel.

The reviewer also identified a few considerations, including the mattress's relatively low bounce and deeper sinkage. These aren't necessarily negatives, but they reinforce an important point: the best mattress is the one that matches your individual preferences, not simply the one with the highest overall score.

Independent Testing Helps You Shop With Confidence

We're proud to see the Nolah Evolution earn a 9.19 overall score in NapLab's latest review, especially its perfect marks for cooling and pressure relief. These results provide an independent perspective on two of the comfort qualities we prioritize in our mattress designs.

Still, no single score can tell you exactly how a mattress will feel in your bedroom. We encourage shoppers to consider independent testing alongside customer reviews, product specifications, firmness preferences, and their own sleep needs.
